DeVIA Project

As a class answer the following questions:
What does the acronym: De, V, I, A stand for?
When and where was the DeVIA movement started?
Describe what the DeVIA manifesto means.
Name the artists that signed the DeVIA manifesto?
What do you see in the visual DeVIA manifesto?

Each student will pick one of the following artists and use the websites given to answer the questions below. Each student will make a small poster on the artist to present next week on: Thursday, April 24. Students can find and use other websites, video sources (youtube) not given below.

QUESTIONS TO ANSWER:
-When and where was the artist born?
-What school did the artist go to?
-What medium (oil paints, acrylic paints, sculpture ect) does the artist use?
-Find 5 of the artists works that show the DeVIA manifesto. Pick one and explain what the artwork it is about or trying to say.
-What do you like about this artist?
